Sometime over the next few months, I plan on paying of my laptop and financing the Canon EOS 20D. I think I have sufficiently learned enough about all the manual settings on my cam, and how they work in conjunction with other settings, to move on to something a little better.

I decided on the 20D because I wanted something that would allow me to grow without outgrowing the camera. Nothing sucks more than learning that your abilities have surpassed the capabilities of your equipment. It can get very expensive.

My S1 IS is nice enough for a point and shoot, but I am finding myself limited with what I would like to be shooting. I think that's a good enough reason to move on to something better. I am not capable of taking the shots that I would like to with this cam. It is time.
